  • Comments Thread For: Hughie Fury Hopes Brilliant Win Over Pulev Leads To Joshua Shot

Gutsy British heavyweight champion Hughie Fury has described his decision to take on Kubrat Pulev in front of the hard-hitting Bulgarian's home crowd as a "no brainer". The 23-year-old will travel more than 2,000 miles to fight Pulev in an IBF final eliminator match in the country's capital Sofia, on Saturday 27 October. The pair are competing for the right to face the winner of the September 22 showdown between champion Anthony Joshua and challenger Alexander Povetkin.

Since when has Pulev been known as 'Hard hitting'...?

Fury-Parker nearly put me in a coma. Fury and Parker both have the same flaw: they are low energy and lack a certain amount of zing. Pulev is beatable, though, and if Fury works a little harder, he might come up with a win.

That actually made me laugh! I think he wins a lackluster performance by split decision.

Fury might get is shot if he wins. The AJ team already said that they don't want Wilder in two years and the other Fury is busy so he can fill in. Then AJ fans will say that Hughie is the better Fury

I think he did the right think and took a British level opponeny last fine and it was a good win. I can't see Pulev beating him. And if he wins, the IBF are duw to call him as mandatory 6 months after. Should have been Miller but he chose to fight Adamak. Good fighter but don't understand passing up the opportunity. He is cannon fodder for AJ. Maybe he just wants to keep in the public eye until Beyonce comes calling.

Hughie’s has some decent mileage out of those meat pics!

Maybe the master plan is for Hughie to get robbed in Albania, forcing Tyson to avenge his cousin as a fight before Wilder....
