Comments Thread For: AIBA Aims To Make Changes To Keep Boxing in The Olympics

The International Boxing Association says it is embarking on a "cultural change" to prevent the sport being thrown out of the Olympics, as one Asian boxing chief warned "the clock is ticking". The Asian Games were again marred by ugly protests at judging decisions, with two North Korean coaches removed by police and booted from the Asiad after their fighter lost a split decision.

This is a moment of crisis for the sport that needs to be resolved. I don't want to see boxing off the program for Tokyo, but if that's necessary for AIBA to get its **** together and stop the rot, so be it.

If Aiba does not replace its current president IOC will exclude boxing from the Olympics.

Corruption has to be fought so that it doesn't spread.

Which requires that people not only be strong but also that they care about something greater than money.

In this case the good of the sport.

The current interim president has to sacrifice his personal ego for the sake of boxing . Without Olympics boxing will be dead .
