Joe Mesi vs JD Chapman In The Works!!

Stacy Goodson is working on finalizing a deal that would put 2 undefeated HW's Joe Mesi vs JD Chapman as the main event on his HW slug out card in Arkansas. Goodson is saying that both fighters have agreed to the fight and all that remains is the $$$. This fight will be either a 10 or a 12 round fight.

I respect that Mesi continues to fight. It's what he's good at and he takes full responsibility to what happens to him.

        Chapman's record is B-O-G-U-S.

Look at his first ten or so fights. Most of the guys had no fights....& the ones that did, never won any of them !

Jeff Mayweather has been training for the past 4-5 months. He has been training with Briggs, McCline and others. Chapman is a live body and this would prove a huge step up for Mesi. I remember when Mesi contacted Goodson for a fighter to fight and Stacy gave him Jason Curry, that was pathetic.

even with the new trainer he fought worse the second time aginats gutierrez who clearly is nothing more than a tough guy

also according to boxrec chapman has fights schedules on back to back days, which one is he actually going to fight?

The Matz bout is still scheduled. I doubt he will pull a Botha and fight back to back fights.

Mesi is so slow right now. His hand speed is what made him a top ten guy. I hope that he can get that back, Tyson wass never the same after the 2 year layoff, Neither was Ali, after that long a layoff something happens.

Mesi will beat Chapman. Its a good fight for him to take at this point, beat an undefeated guy.

It will take a lot though for anyone to place him back in the top 10. The alphabets might but I am talking about legit rankings.

judging from his last fight, mesi wouldnt stand a chance against chapman.
