Charles Martin is a bum period. He won the IBF title back in 2016 from Glazkov because the guy injured his leg in the 3rd round during the bout. His very next fight 3 months later was against Joshua who treats him like the bum he is and drops him twice and puts him away in the 2nd round. That was Joshua’s 1st title belt.

Then a year later, Martin beats a guy that has 20 losses. And then 3 months later he beats a guy with 7 losses. And then he doesn’t fight for another year until facing Kownacki.

Now Kownacki has 14 TKO/KO’s in 17 fights. His last (4) fights have ended in 6 rounds or less including Szpilka. He is currently ranked the 10th best Heavyweight in the world by Ring Magazine behind Jarrell Miller and Dominic Breazeale.

Yep. Fans luv to jeer at Martin, but if he gets to the gig in shape, I can easily see him stopping his man. My guess is it will be an entertaining matchup, and a good prelim to the main event.
