Well, I guess one man's low blow is the next man's body shot.
I can't help but find it amusing and satisfying that Kovalev's
****sure fans are still emotionally wounded by his defeat(s).
I was never sold on Kovalev, but I was constantly told that
he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well now it's
clear that he's not. He's gluten free and devoid of flavor.

Seeing Kovalev hunched over, walking like the elderly man with
spinal problems who greets you at Walmart, that was great.
No they were not you are blind. Those were low blows. Watched the fight with a living room full of people and everyone said that fight stunk, nobody was rooting for neither fighter either. We all just wanted to see a good fight. Another black Eye for boxing.

Maybe the indica made your eyes droopier than David Reid's.
Those body shots hit Kovalev harder than Lamb's Breath.

you wanted to be proven right so much that you ignore what actually happened despite the truth. hey whatever suits you! at least you have that feeling of being right! self fulfilling prophecies are the best.

who cares what you thought about kovalev or ward. you really bring all your biases into a fight don't you? they were low punches. it doens't matter if you hate kovalev or think he's a bum. i'm sure you scored the first fight for ward as well just so you could prove yourself right. we got a confirmation bias master here. i dont care enough for any fighter to create these self fulfilling prophecies. i just look at what i see. ward was a dirty fighter who used illegal tactics. that is the truth. its not what suits me. its the truth. you can like that he was a dirty fighter or not. i happen not to like it

I don't even like Kovalev but those were low blows. Personally I thought Kovalev was headed to a defeat prior to those punches landing but that's not the point.

Hypothetically, if one or two of those shots strayed low,
and the ref had given Kovalev a respite, do you actually
see any way Kovalev could have turned the fight around in
the physical & mental state he was in? Wanting Kovalev to
                have continued is sadism.

I watched Andre Ward interview Jacobs on "The Fight Game", and he's an extremely intelligent cat. I'd never actually heard him speak before that. Ward tried to bait him with this racial narrative about african american boxers being labeled villains, and Jacobs recognized it from a mile away and answered it beautifully with "boxers as a whole are labeled...".

Something else he touched on was the "post-whatever" of Canelo. The obvious doping and how he'll perform without being the main point of his comment, but also that boxers, trainers, promoters know ring rust is real at any age. It's why they didn't want GGG to take the rematch this past May 5th. Even if Canelo fights twice a year, his body is not used to the added layoff, nor is the psyche. On the flip side, GGG is 36 now. Is that a factor, or like Wlad and Vitali who were also Kazahk born, can he remain dominant into his mid 30's?

Both guys can take a shot. Hopefully it's a good fight, otherwise this WWE like buildup to it with all of the playground name calling from both sides won't make me want to watch either guy again.
