He gets credit too because his "record breaking fight" wasn't vs. a MMA bum but an actual boxer.

No one knows who he is AND it's not just about matching 50-0 or 51-0, it's who you've fought along the way to get to 51-0.

Floyd has De La Hoya, Cotto, Corralas, Hernandez, Pacquaio, Alvarez on his resume among others.

Who does Menayothin have on his resume? Can anyone list them without going to Box Rec? I had to look at the title of this guy name in order to type it for this post.

Champ deserves his credit but people really need to stop overhyping this 50 something-0 crap as TBE. No one is tbe not even floyd.

I think it's about retire undefeated and the quality of opposition you fought to get to 51-0.

There is no one on Lopez record that screams greatness. Now Chavez record is very good, but the problem is he was defeated before he retired.

There's a host of others who didn't have official losses for 75, 80 sometimes over 100 fights. Some had "newspaper decision" losses. Ruben Olivares didn't lose until I believe his 70th bout.

Jimmy Barry retired without even a newspaper decision loss. He was unbeaten in 70 fights and reigned for five years as lineal 118-lbs champion.

The "record" is a gimmick. Made by Marciano fans and brought to life by Mayweather fanboys who are now trying to twist it because this Thai guy is ahead. Floyd fans think Marciano is now the goat at heavyweight, Calzaghe is better than Jones and are dying for this this Thai guy to lose.
I thought the 50-0 bit was just a gimmick to make money. I haven't heard much ranker over the so called career record for most wins without a defeat.

51 has tried.. 51 has failed.. now thats what we're talking about. Someone's record was eclipsed by this relatively unknown bast ard and that someone remaining fans seems to have difficulties on accepting the reality and will be like "piss on that, who's this guy ever fought?" Lmao

People like to act like the record means something, but it doesn't really. What matters is going undefeated with the resume he has, not the number of wins.

Some Floyd fans do use it to troll certain posters who get upset by his greatness, and they are too emotional to notice the jocular nature of those posts.
