Thanks. I'm going to have to see what the seeds are. See what the semi finals should look like. Briedis wins this most likely.

Yeah, he's a tough, solid B level cruiserweight, but he's a tier below Briedis and won't have the power to bother him. It will be Briedis vs winner of Vlasov/Glowacki and Tabiti/Fayfer vs Dorticos/Masternak.

Think they'll both end up on opposite sides of the draw aswell, so youll have a title on each side.
Are we now in favour or against interim belts?

There is no need for interim bells.
The winner of this tournament is the true challenger for usyk, if he stays in the cruiserweight division after he defends against bellew.

When usyk announces his move up to heavyweight, thats when those belt organisations can sanction vacant title fights.
Before that, it's nonsense to add some bogus interim titles.

If a champion is injured long term, or indicated he may not fight his mandatory, I see no problem with an interim title, thats what theyre for. Problem comes when the WBA abuse it and make an interim champion for no reason whatsoever.

With all those ****** belts, a career should be evaluated by who they beat and not what belts they held.

The winner of this tournament adds three good wins on his resume and is the most worthy guy to challenge usyk, if he stays at cruiserweight.
They are also fighting for a lot of money.

Good fights are good fights, doesnt care about titles.
The cruiserweights had already good fights before the wbss, but now with two consecutive tournaments, they most certainly have the best matches compared to other divisions lately.

              Usyk vs huck
              Briedis vs perez
              Gassiev vs wlodarzyk
              Dorticos vs russian ko dude
              Gassiev vs dorticos
              Briedis vs usyk
              Usyk vs gassiev
              Briedis vs gevor
              Vlasov vs glowacki
              Dorticos vs masternak
              Tabiti vs fayfer, most likely
              Briedis vs vlasov
              Tabiti vs dorticos
              Briedis vs dorticos/tabiti
              Usyk vs bellew

              Also
              Vlasov vs durodola
              Lerena vs kalenga
              Lerena vs kucher
              Masternak vs kalenga
              Mchunu vs oosthuizen
              Makabu vs mabike
              Okolie vs askin

Cruiserweights are constantly in evenly matched fights and challenge themselves, unlike a lot of other divisions which are plagued with showcase fights, tune up fights due to inactivity ans politics.

I love another tourney. No need for belts when we get the best fights possible.

Light Middleweight, Super Featherweight or Flyweight may have made more sense from a purest's view, but I guess money talks!

It seems pretty OK but sequels always come up being worse.

Breidis did beterr than Gasiev against Ussyk, he should win this one, barring a ko streak by Dorticos.
