Comments Thread For: Canelo Not Interested In Becoming Friendly With GGG After Fight

50 years from now geezers will still curse Canelo, so IOW it makes no sense to try to change minds on any boxing forum.
Having said that, at least some of GGG's rage I would guess is because he's jealous his career didn't get near the level Canelo's has.
Looking forward to a great fight card coming up. Fired up, theater tickets in hand, no worries.

GGG was the WBA champion. Jacobs was the REGULAR WBA champion, AKA jacobs was NOT a champion. What kind of GGG fan doesn't know that??? LOLComment

I’m going to correct you again because you are now embarrassing yourself as a boxing fan on this forum. GGG was the WBA SUPER middleweight champion. Jacobs was the WBA WORLD middleweight champion or the regular champion.
But the WBA SUPER middleweight belt is given by the WBA to title holders who already hold the WBC, WBO, IBO, and IBF belts. The WBA refers to a champion who holds two or more of these titles in the same weight class as a "Super Champion.” However it doesn’t negate the WBA World middleweight belt holder who actually won that title like Jacobs did against Fletcher in 2014. He did not officially lose that official title until he agreed to fight GGG. Then that WBA world title became vacant and it was won by Murata against Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam 2 months later in 2017.
