The event didn't hurt boxing in any way.
That wasnt boxing, it was a circus sideshow, you obviously dont take boxing seriously i see

I've been a boxing fan for over 30 years dude. Been to fights from tiny hotel ballrooms to MSG and Vegas .

The problem isn't that I am not a serious fan, it's that you let your hatred of Floyd drive your feelings and anger in an immature way.

Your anger should be directed at the teams of other boxers that haven't learned how to develop their fighters brands to the point that they attract casual fans like Floyd and Conor did.

Yo I just don't get this.

If you hate Floyd, ok. But it isn't his fault that guys that posters like Shape Up like haven't crossed over into the mainstream.

Maybe if those guys were as good as Floyd (which is likely not possible) or showed their personality (or even created a fake one for TV) they might be able to.

That's exactly what it was always going to be, and Floyd knew it!

The only surprising thing imo was how many people fell for the hype!

It wouldn't matter if it was Fluid, pacquaio, Garcia, Joshua or any other boxer, that fight should never have been sanctioned, Nevada wouldn't sanction ward vs Murdock stipulating it was a mismatch and Murdock was ranked 15th in the world at the time yet a 50/0 vs a debutant was sanctioned, as I stated, your obviously not that interested in boxing due to your naivety about dangers, proper matchmaking stipulations, this has nothing to do with hate, just common sense

Floyd and Connor really fooled those fanboys.

Floyd did well cultivating his idiot fan base.

Idiot fans are the easiest to fool and take money from.

You missed one glaring point that should be obvious to someone as astute as yourself-Floyd/Conor brought hundreds of millions in revenue to Vegas, Nevada and the business community. Ward/Murdock obviously would not.

If you don't think they had a contingency in place to stop that fight as soon as Conor looked vulnerable then you are once again letting hate and anger for Floyd cloud your judgement , ability to think critically, and whatever common sense God blessed you with.

How about you stop lying that your objection to this was rooted in concern for the sport or another mans health or well being and just be honest like your shrink tells you to be.

                      Repeat after me:

My name is Shape up and I hate Floyd Mayweather and I am mad that he made $250+ million to fight conor while the guys I like have to fight on HBO and ESPN for relative peanuts.

                      WOOOOOOSAAAAAH!

                      Do you feel better??
