As a neatrul who really likes both fighters and who just wants that fight ive listened to both sides of this lame as hell argument between the likes of Finkel, Wilder, Fury and Hearn and its just a big game. I think both fighters want it alot more than Hearn or Finkel and they seem happy enough to be roadblocked by the other.
Hearns contract to Wilder could be a bit more money heavy really. Im sure he can afford to pay Deontay more and still make himself and Joshua a very healthy profit. Clearly the flat fee is being based on it being on DAZN rather than American PPV so there is nothing to affect the money DAZN provide. To me that just says that they are sharing the American money and they are having all the rest. Dont be a goon Hearn, pay Wilder more. The rematch clause is a sticking point but there is no doubting Joshua is the A side, its his right to demand it, The A sides have been demanding it for many years.
Finkel, in my opinion, has been super shady from day 1. 24 hours to agree terms but wont show terms, wont meet with Eddie to discuss a fight, doesnt respond to emails, doesnt even respond to contracts being sent to him. He has put together a contract for a fantastic amount of money but then filled it with terms that just would never get accepted. When everybody was saying "Dont panic Al Haymon has big pockets" it looked a good argument, but then Frank Warren is letting slip that it would have to be on BT Sport in the UK, like that would ever happen. Its a ridiculous term, a straight up contract killer. And dont forget we all keep talking about this 50 Million dollar offer. Neither Hearn or Joshua have ever seen this contract. Its no good Frank Warren seeing it, whats that guna achieve?
Hearn has offered a couple of contracts and a few offers that looked pretty easy to turn down. But are still open to negotiate if Finkel or Wilder want to.
Finkel has offered nothing, well 50 million but then immediately cut off any routes to discuss that deal any further and is not responsive on any further negotiation.
