The only thing I been hearing from Garcia is that he’s been working on body punches little did he know that timing is relevant and to how well those punches will connect with your opponent something that Garcia doesn’t have. Morales is no threat but is a good test for the kid cause he’s not a dangerous puncher but does press forward on his opponents which is not what Garcia handles well. We saw with the Velez fight how much he was clinching and holding cause he doesn’t know how to box in the inside. He should use this fight as a platform to show how much he’s improving instead of trying to look impressive getting an early KO cause once he’s out against a tough and durable opponent it’s not gonna be all fun and games

      Indeed.

Ryan Garcia has exceptional hand-speed, but his lack of defense coupled with his almost comic combination of low intelligence and extreme arrogance is likely to cause him Adrien Broner-like "problems" once he starts fighting real competition.

I want to see his improvement fighting in the inside instead of just clinching and smothering opponents.
        Let's see how he does.

i wouldn't condemn him to being the next adrien broner yet. broner has had issues with focus, jail, weight, lack of discipline, etc. garcia is super young. if he's dedicated he can fix every one of his flaws and have a very good pro career.

and broner himself has had a good pro career. lots of hand picked guys, some dubious decisions, and some losses, but he's made a lot of money and that's what really matters in the end for these guys and their families.

I'd say he sounds the second coming of Amir Khan
