He's a blown up welter that put on way too much muscle, it certainly didn't serve him well against Lara, Cotto, Trout, etc. His most notable knockout in his entire career has literally been Liam Smith at 154. Angulo, Khan, Kirkland, Cintron were all previously knocked out.

Even Jarrett Hurd at 154 is bigger, actual MW's look like ggg, Jacobs, BJS, etc. which are rare these days. If Canelo had fought a decade earlier he'd have been fighting monster middles like 6'1 Hopkins, 6'2 Pavlik, 6'1 Taylor, even Abraham as small as he was is much bigger.
we're not talking about height, we're talking about weight. There's no such thing as height classes in boxing. Canelo on the day of the weigh in (like the pic you posted) is much different from Canelo on fight day. He looked massive next to guys like Smith and Cotto in the ring. He wasn't even able to make 147 at 20 yrs old so how is he a blown up welter? Stop it.

Spoken like a casual. As boxer's we are programmed to avoid hits, we know it scores for the other guy. I doubt it was so much the power (besides the fact that it's ****** as *** to just eat power shots) but more so the fact that if he went to the body he'd be giving up rounds in hopes of a late stoppage. The body shots wouldnt score as much as a head shot. Some common sense, if Golovkin went to the body he never would have beaten Canelo at all.

With that said, Golovkin in the interview(video) that I saw said that maybe it was because of the adrenaline, or because canelo was tired, but he didnt feel his power. Both would be the truth, canelo didnt land much of anything in terms of bombs in the first 6 rd's, he only started to land when golovkin felt he had weakened and Then golovkin started presenting his head (margarito style), as he likes to do when he feels he's began dominating. The only one that actually landed bombs early was golovkin with the left hooks in rd3, something most people didnt pick up on, was that golovkin was actually more elusive in the first half than canelo. Even canelo said post fight he was difficult to land on as he gave him his shoulder and moved away when he'd go on the offensive.

So then you’re saying that canelo had the right idea of moving which caused GGG to miss and be hesitant to throw. Because as boxers we are programmed to avoid being hit. And you’re also saying that canelo sitting there “slugging it out” with GGG would be ****** since G would have the advantage there because he had more natural power there and also as boxers we are programmed to avoid being hit. Thank you so much for being unbiased and breaking it down for the casuals. Because what goes for these guys favorite fighter works for their favorite fighters opponents as well.

Having a fight doesnt mean not using your defense, just as being defensively responsible doesnt mean you have to move away. There are plenty of fighters who come to fight that showcase great defense. And Canelo by all means should have the advantage fighting Golovkin, because he's faster, slick and his power early is more than enough to hurt Golovkin, but Golovkin is too smart to serve him self up that early, that's why he was keeping his distance in the early going. Canelo's issue is that his stamina is poor and he wouldnt be able to maintain a fight unless he does the necessary damage to drag his opponent down with him.

I dont knock canelo for moving either, I never considered him to be running in that fight, nor was it a new style like people say, i'm pretty sure i've seen him fight on the back foot plenty of times. If I say he's a runner i'm just talking sht due to him currently not being in favor with me.

Canelo won round 3....Which fight you watch?? Almost everyone knows Pednelo won the majority of the first half and last half ofbthe fight while GGG dominated the middle. Your pist sounds like a casual fan...Again I watched the fight many, many times. while you didnt.
