  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin Didn't Feel 'Real Power' From Canelo; Only Felt Slaps

Gennady Golovkin isn't concerned about Canelo Alvarez achieving his goal of knocking out Golovkin in their rematch. Golovkin said Sunday before an open workout in Los Angeles that he didn't feel "real power" from Alvarez in their first fight. Alvarez promised recently that he'll be much more aggressive in their second meeting and will try to knock out Golovkin from the very beginning of their 12-round rematch September 15 in Las Vegas.

Canelo must slap pretty hard since Triple g feared going to Canelo's body for fear of getting slapped...

I mean Canelo is a blown up welter after all lol, his knock out ratio is only 70% and like 95% of those fights have occurred at 154 and below. It'll just make it that more embarassing if Canelo actually knocks him out when he couldn't even put away the corpse of Chavez.

Canelo pieced him up real good in the first fight, clearly landed the best shots, but at the end of the day he's just not that big a puncher.

ggg is full of it. ggg was scared to throw to the body because Canelo would hit back.

Only one of those boxers had their face busted up after the fight and that was ggg.

A blown up welter?? Lol! Do you know how old Canelo was the last time he made 147? He was a teen. He's a middleweight who cut weight to have an in ring size advantage. He has outweighed every single opponent his faced on fight day other than maybe Chavez jr.

Canelo hit Golovkin with his money punch, a flush overhand right in the 7th round, and Golovkin ate it like it was nothing and kept moving forward.

Canelo was effective to the body, whether GGG admits it or not. We'll see how this one turns out.

All the Canelo dreamers act like by some miracle he will be soooo much better. He lost 8 rnds to 4 the first fight. Acknowledged by PROS not armchair idiots. If he comes in lighter with less power GGG KOs him. He tries to slug with GGG GGG KOs him. He boxes GGG and he gets beat AGAIN because GGG outboxes him. Let's get this over and watch Canelos idiotic fans make ridiculous excuses. Again.
