Canelo had already made it known that he is angered and
disgusted by some of golovkin's comments, so it's not really
surprising that Canelo has too much disdain for Golovkin to
allow him the satisfaction of doing face-to-face promos now.

Yeah, but you know why hes suspension was imminent though? He messed up. Now, if you really believe the tainted meat thing thats ok, but it doesn't explain why far more Mexican fighters havent failed tests. The poorer guys who eat more of the cheap meat. It doesnt explain why Canelo never failed a test before despite hes eating habits. And all at a time when everyone was commenting on how muscular he was becoming. Yet hes the one whos angered and disgusted. Projection?

i would say canelo wants to do as little promotional work because firstly he doesnt want to hear the valid arguments thrown his way about his failed drug tests and secondly he simply doesnt care enough about the fans just the money they give to him. All this smacks of a guilty conscience but the truth is canelo could rob your granny and still u blind fans will defend him.

This could be more of a Cutting off the nose to spite the face situation since ggg team were desperately after more money in the negotiations so by not promoting the fight ggg makes less or the same as the first fight and canelo doesn't care and is willing to loose some $ since he already made his.Tom Loeffler was complaining a few weeks ago that it's unfair that ggg has to promote this fight and was asking golden boy to ask canelo to promote the fight then ggg had a tantrum with the media in big bear and threatened to end camp for the day if they didn't leave

its up to both fighters to promote the fight. Considering canelo is the one who failed the drug test he owes it to his fans to promote this fight but his lack of interest in promotion just smacks of guilt and self entitlement.

Canelo and his team are avoiding going face to face with GGG because there afraid canelo will get intimidated by GGG and loss focus. Either that or now hes scared of Abel and what he would say to Canelo. Either way it makes them look scared and pathetic. Its embarrassing that a Mexican fighter would do that. It shows what a diva he is. Can't wait for fight week.

Clearly he doesn't want to have to answer more questions about his positive test. The meat excuse is weak at best & he doesn't want to be made to look like even more of a fool than he already does.

To me it seems like Canelo is acting more like a small spoiled child instead of a diva. What he is doing is disrespectful to the fans, who he apparently forgets ultimately pays him for performing. Saying he isn't acting professional is being too kind.
