Instead of criticising Hearn, just listen to the guy speak. You might learn something. His hustle is excellent.

To be fair, the fan base is very capable of doing that without any help.

At this point I'm just wondering if people are going to realize the $50 million was just a guaranteed minimum, being guaranteed a $50 million minimum obviously does not preclude you from making more, after all it's just that a guaranteed minimum!

Looks like Hearn's ego has gone into overdrive.
The guy will disappear as quick as his daddy did. Just wait till the mainstream media start writing articles about him that hearn hasn't handed them in an envelope

And he's just publicly killed the fight unless he's prepared to pay wilder a minimum of £80 million. Who can see hearn offering him that?

It doesn't make sense. 50 was just the guarantee.

It was 50.million against 50/50. So if the fight did 300 million joshua and hearn wud have made 150 not just the 50.

If thebfight only did 35 milliin he still would have gotten 50.

The reason Wilder would have been entitled to 50/50 is cause the high risk his side was taking.

Now if Wilder sells exceedingly well against Fury Wilder is gonna get 50/50 even without the reedick 50 milly guaranteed.

Still think Wilder's side was just as much at fault as they refused to meet with Hearn or send any sort of contract/paperwork outlining or detailing the 50 milly.

With that kind of moneu u gott have some sort of instrument detailing the payouts - how much is going to be psid before the fight ( a true guarantee usually involves 50% of the money paid BEFORE the fight...)

Both sides are full of **** IMO

they did meet and Hearn confirmed the $50 mill was there..Boxingscene even posted an article on it..Not sure why that gets ignored..Hearn then moved the goal post by saying they would take less to make the fight in the UK and trying to give Wilder a flat fee

                      Interesting...

The whole 50 million thing started when Joshua just sort of said out of the blue, to make a point, that "If you guaranteed me 50 million I'd sign tomorrow."

Perhaps it was just a case of Joshua not really thinking before he shot off..

Abd props to Wilder they called him on it.

But it really was never a serious stipulation from Joshua and Hearn from what I understood.

Regardless I'm starting to believe that it was Hearn and co. Who ultimately balked and shut the fight down.

I'm sure they could have worked something out with Povetkin for a nice little step aside fee to wait.

Perhaps Povetkin thought if Wilder won, doe, due to their history, Wilder wouldn't give Povetkin his shot. And a Joshua figjt after a loss and no belts wouldn't be nearly as lucrative so maybe Hearn really was on a strict timeline as Povetkin wouldn't have accepted step aside.
