After the round Ortiz had Wilder out on his feet, he was done. He gassed out badly. It had nothing to do with any concussion.Ortiz faded because he was concussed, he got dropped a total of 4x vs Wilder, 2x by the 5th round and was eating huge counters throughout the fight. He showed plenty of dog in him too the way he came back.
Brezeale & Whyte don't have the power or skill to really bother Ortiz all that much. Brezeale has already arguably lost to Fred Kassi and was getting beaten from pillar to post vs Ugonoh before Ugonoh punched himself out in 3 rounds. Whyte himself was exhausted vs Parker by the 12th whom he didn't KO, he also failed to knock out Chisora, Allen & Helenius.Comment

Whyte would have a longer training camp against Brezeale than he did against Parker. He'll be in better shape. He even said his camp wasn't the best and he came in too heavy. His stamina will improve.
I see Whyte out-boxing Brezeale for a UD. Brezeale will have his moments, but Whyte will prove too good and get the job done. Brezeale is just too slow, man.Comment

Whyte has no fear of Brezeale. Remember Brezeale has already ducked Whyte. He made his excuses about not getting paid enough, even though i'm sure it was the second biggest payday of his career on offer. Hearn said it was substantial. If he doesn’t take the fight he obviously fears Breazeale which I very much doubt or he can’t be asked to go down the WBC route. However, as for him being scared of Wilder how can he be when he has offered 5 million to Wilder to face him earlier this year and that offer has been raised to 7/8 million only a month ago. Don’t get me wrong Wilder will blast him out of the ring but as for him ducking Wilder there isn’t a heavyweight that has made his feelings more known than Whyte.Comment

Because a win over Brezeale makes him mandatory for Wilder. A win over Ortiz makes him second mandatory for Wilder. It's obvious which makes the most sense for Whyte considering he wants a fight with Wilder.Comment

Ortiz didn't start his flurry until there were 40 secs left in the round, after that he had a full minute to recover.
Look, if you've been dropped 2x by the 5th, and have been eating shots from the hardest puncher in all of boxing, you are not going to be a fresh fighter.Comment
