tbh, I'd have more respect for him if he backed out. Because right now, I see it as a cash out. Him and his team know they're not ready for this level of opponent, but there's too much money involved and Fury has probably seen better days.
If he's hesitant, it at least shows me that he somewhat cares about his legacy in boxing and is not just sticking around for one more payday.Comment

Could be psychological warfare. Leak info saying that he's scared giving Wilder a false sense of overconfidence. Fury seems very calculating to me although clearly a bit off. Can't see why a reputable member of Fury's management would be going to Dan Rafael, talking about the fight. MTK are there to protect their fighter and business. Anybody there working closely on the fight is unlikely to be talking to Fat Dan saying that Fury is backing out.
I once talked to someone that worked with Haye's promotion company doing PR, they said that Haye v Wilder was a done deal about two years ago. Turned out to be nonsense
was it really someone in the know, or just one of the many many people involved with MTK pretending that they know something?Comment

Pretty much everyone that knows him off camera says he's actually an intelligent guy, maybe not academically as such but very sharp.Comment
