I thought that myself, though I'd switchout Wilder to Fury v Breazeale it would be a much better fight at this stage.

He actually said announcement on Monday, it's Saturday so he's 5 days late.

tbh, I'd have more respect for him if he backed out. Because right now, I see it as a cash out. Him and his team know they're not ready for this level of opponent, but there's too much money involved and Fury has probably seen better days.

If he's hesitant, it at least shows me that he somewhat cares about his legacy in boxing and is not just sticking around for one more payday.

The fall out would be fun to watch. I wouldnt be surprised if he calls it off tbh but I wont say he is.

I once talked to someone that worked with Haye's promotion company doing PR, they said that Haye v Wilder was a done deal about two years ago. Turned out to be nonsense

was it really someone in the know, or just one of the many many people involved with MTK pretending that they know something?
Could be psychological warfare. Leak info saying that he's scared giving Wilder a false sense of overconfidence. Fury seems very calculating to me although clearly a bit off.

Pretty much everyone that knows him off camera says he's actually an intelligent guy, maybe not academically as such but very sharp.

And they will tell him five days before the fight so he doesn't have time to train, lol.

He didn't do well in his fight with Pianeta.
Just imagine if that was Dillian White or someone a tad better.
He needs to call it off before he wastes millions of dollars in promotion.
