A Tribute to the Era of Steroid-infused Knockouts

A time when drug testing was able to find weed and hardly nothing else.

When fighters had shoulders and biceps that looked fresh out of a comic book. There are some notable exceptions - Canelo/Khan for example, but then Carnelo might have had some tainted beef in him, we don't know.

Enjoy this montage of some of the most brutal knockouts in boxing. (notable absences though...Martinez/Williams is unexpectedly absent as is Eubank/Dos Santos, Lewis/McCall 2, Jones/Johnson, Jones/Tarver 2, Garcia/Salka, Wilder/Szpilka, Tyson/Gross and Pacquiao/Hatton.)

Who you guys kidding? All you got to do is know how to stay ahead of the tests. Its not rocket science. Most boxers ARENT clean. You can’t be to compete at elite levels.

PED abuse isn't as bad as it once was though, much harder to beat a test these days, you actually have to beat it. In the 80s 90's you could abuse PED's unmitigated without limit.

All Tyson had to use for example was a fake **** to beat drug tests, he admitted to being coked up in a lot of major fights. A lot of guys were coked up, probably high on meth too.

Makes me wonder if McCall's mental breakdown in his rematch with Lewis was drug induced.

Two guys on steroids doesn't make for a much better fight or more brutal KO's(one-punch anyway). If anything, steroids help fighters last longer despite being bombed on, so I suppose longer beatings. A juicecake vs a natural is how you really up the odds on a brutal one-punch KO due to the strength difference e.g. Marquez vs Pacquiao IV.

You left out Mayweather/McGregor/Hatton and Marquez/Pac. Floyd's KO's may not have been dramatic, but his body development has he's aged and questionable training tactics certainly make him suspect.

I agree that none of the world class fighters is a 100% clean, however I believe that fighters today can't use the hardcore stuff that fighters in the 70-90s used without being caught and I think that limited doping to a certain degree.

I think there are still PEDs being used but I think they're less effective than the hardcore stuff athletes used 30 years ago. That's just my opinion, you see it in how fighters today perform despite advancements in training and nutrition, fighters are a lot more human now imo.

A complete denial of common sense
For example automobile motors became smaller and stronger, more effective over the years
                Same goes for PEDs
Fighters might get tested frequently but only those who can’t afford the new high tech stuff are getting popped

It’s beyond using a fake **** or someone else’s urine.

Allowing steroids and PEDs is the only solution. There are probably hundreds of boxers who are getting away with it anyway. Level the playing field.
