You're an idiot and selectively leave out information to make it seem like you know what you're talking about. The brook fight happened because Eubank Jr backed out like a punk. The vanes fight happened bevause canelo felt the need to cheat leading into the rematch. Munguia wasn't approved as an opponent by the wbc, and spike wasn't happy with the $. Now explain to me why Canelo fought khan, Smith and Chavez jr instead of ggg when ggg was a bigger fight and damn near did the same # if ppv buys as those 3 fights combined?

Khan is a name but it was a bad fight. We all know it. No excuses.

Chavez Jr was filler and sold over a million ppvs, which is insane considering it’s Chavez Jr.... thats very close to what GGG and Canelo did. It’s been a fight people have always wanted to see and it served to let Canelo bulk for longer Bad or not, money and viewership talks. So talk about selective...

Smith was also undefeated, a world champ, and it was fought at 54...Kinda like Brook, huh (canelo cant make weight doe)

GGG had TWO MONTHS after the failed test and tons of guys calling out but instead they bring out a retired guy who’s had like 1 win in 4 years...coming off a loss....fighting in a different division.


I’m a massive fan of GGG and Canelo both but I dont think Canelo has ever made a worse fight...at least Josesito Lopez accidentally earned that fight... :/


Lets be honest here. When have we seen a real, legitimate division kingpin bring in a dude like Vanes with what almost amounted to two months notice? Khan was a s hit fight but he’s still Khan. Whatever that’s worth. Vanes has never even come close to amounting to anything. No disrespect to Vanes, he’s a boss for taking it.

GGG is at too high a level to waste a camp on a guy like Vanes. It was a downright waste to go through a tough camp for that especially at his age. Andrade called out GGG for example. Almost ANYONE is a better fight than Vanes.


Osullivan as far as I know he just wasnt comfortable with the time and money, not just money. If it was only money, team GGG should be ashamed to let someone walk because of that...coming off a Canelo fight and going INTO a Canelo fight and you decide to *** it out like youve no money to pay a dude on a great date? Gtfo.

Osullivan I think decided that hes in contention and he’ll get a crack regardless eventually and ggg-canelo fight only makes that winner bigger and a higher pay to the guys fighting him.

I'm not going to get into every aspect of what you wrote but, it wasn't 2 months notice. Canelo pulled out a month in advance. Ggg wasn't going to make another fight on his own while the Canelo pay day was still possibly on the table and let's be honest, Canelo getting off without a suspension wasn't out of the question considering his favorable treatment. I won't defend vanes as an opponent but I stand by khan being the biggest joke of an opponent of everyone you mentioned. The guy was ko'd cold at lightweight and fought for the mw title. Let's also not pretend that vanes was worse than when Chavez used to fight guys with losing records in Mexico while he was a 60-0 world champion, or Hopkins fighting a guy who was 31-8 as part of his mw title defenses,
Or Roy Jones fighting a guy called the punching postman whose record was 37-7. Vanes was inactive but I've seen him give lara, charlo, Andrade all good fights.
