He's short, but not small, but got a solid thick body and does look fit.

Sure Jacobs will have a distance/reach advantage and a comfort zone but he's not fighting a welterweight.

Yes, he was scared. He was scared of being not ready for Canelo after Derevyanchenko. Derevyanchenko is a tough guy.

He does seem to me that Derev can fight inside and has a good D.

The question I have is IF Derev can cut off the ring well but I never saw him in a fight where he needed to do so.

Footwork will be the key in that fight, both can boxe, regarding Derev you don't become a world am medalist being a small limited fighter like you pretend he is.
He's called the technician for a reason and being praided by Rozier for a reason too.

Derev is just untested at the top level, so we'll see.

My main concern is him being trained by an assistant of his trainer opponent. Dude is assistant for a reason and Rozier is his boss, that's weird.

Jacobs will have to limit his rehydration and weight on fight night, that's good for Derev, Jacobs won't be 180s.

I still remember Sergiy Derevyanchenko in the WSB, if not mistaken he finished with a record of 23-1, but here he has a super difficult task in front of him.

Jacobs by UD or Sergiy by KO

Jacobs uses size and reach to win early rounds. Jacobs gets dropped, rises and uses height and reach (if any) advantages to coast to a clear UD.

                  OR

Jacobs uses size and reach to win early rounds. Jacobs gets dropped, rises and gets finished again for a KO victory for Sergey.

Either result, but Jacobs gets dropped.

IDK who Derev has KO'ed too make people think he's some KO artist I think people just automatically think that just because guys are from the Russia or Ukran region.

When I see Derev fight he got decent skills but he's short for MW and it looks like he puts too much behind every punch and gasses a bit from it in the mid-rounds. I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo could KO Derev let alone GGG.

Really stoked for this fight. Derevyanchenko is shorter, not necessarily smaller. Although Jacobs is a huge MW.

They're both very good fighters, and I'm excited to see how Sergiy looks against world class competition.
