I think he was hurt early in the fight and he just couldn't take any more. When he knocked Benn through the ropes the fight should have been over. Benn really wasn't fighting back until the next round. If that same fight would have happened today it would have been stopped in the first or second round (whichever round Benn went through the ropes). I just don't like to see anybody get that hurt in the ring. I really felt even worse watching it the second time because you can see the signs of him being hurt early on, and even the commentators were saying things like "Why isn't he protecting himself?" and "He looks really tired." and I bet they felt about 2 inches tall after they found out how serious the injury was. They were really giving him a bunch of **** when he quit the fight. Then he collapsed in the corner and they were still giving him **** by saying his pride was hurt.

I understand your point, but what if it was your dog?
If I caught someone doing that to my dog, I'd shoot them in both knees and both elbows, there's no sense in torturing and killing a harmless, defenseless animal simply for entertainment IMO.
