Comments Thread For: Jackson Suffered Two Ruptured Eardrums In Loss to Frampton

Luke Jackson's technical knockout defeat to Carl Frampton was even more painful than it looked. The Australian featherweight contender revealed through his Instagram account Wednesday that he suffered a ruptured eardrum in each ear during his one-sided, ninth-round TKO loss to Frampton on Saturday night in Belfast, Northern Ireland. A recovering Jackson also posted a picture of his face, in which his right eye was swollen shut.

Frampton walked through this guy. He was never a threat, so it's hard to guage Frampton. Warrington looks busier, but doesn't do a fraction of the damage. Frampton will bully him too. I wouldn't make too much of Warrington over Selby, Selby hits like a Tonka truck. Frampton said no, with his lips, to Rigo and never mentions Russell. It's good to know your limits.

***** off mate, give josh his credit now he's been through a tonne of decent opposition this aint going to be no picnic for frampton no matter what and i'm certain josh will win again, josh has his own array of skills which if you cant see by now then you're a blind man, he brings fire and intensity and wears guys down, frampton is tight at the weight and getting on in age and lacks the hunger of pre santa cruz, and struggles to keep pace with old donaire, josh fights like lamont peterson when he faced khan roided up, constant pressure no time to think relax or catch your breath. josh has got this

Whilst I agree Frampton has slowed down slightly, he should handle Warrington, probably one sidedly. I expect this fight to go like the Kiko fights with Frampton, competitive...tough rounds, but ultimately Frampton will win most of them. It should be a fun fight though

An early knockout would have been merciful compared to this beating.

                    an awful cherrypick gone wrong
...or gone right in frampton's case
...commissions need to clamp down and do their jobs
...top 10-15 opponents for former champs or current champs or no fights
...there is an argument that this would limit earning potential of top fighters
...but the argument against that is easy
..more competitive fights earn you more money and ppl on the same level dont would have a better chance of leaving injury free
