Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: No Return Plans, But Never Know What Future Holds

Andre Ward is thankful that he has had several constructive distractions during the 11 months since he announced his retirement. Hosting the upcoming season of the revamped reality series "The Contender" filled part of the void Ward felt when he walked away from boxing as the sport's consensus No. 1 fighter, pound-for-pound.

Sometimes I wish andre ward was English so he would get the plaudits he deserves. We would’ve hyped him up good and proper. There would be an Andre Ward day by now.

I can’t help but think that ward was a few fights away from being an all time great. He retired too early for me there were still good fights out there for him

We all know he's waiting for some weak titlist to get a belt at heavyweight/cruiserweight and he'll be back. Its a phony retirement.

As much as I'm happy he retired healthy and as #1 P4P, I love seeing the clowns here get triggered over this guy. Wouldn't mind more of that.

Ward ruined the lives of so many phony boxing fans. Almost as many as Mayweather.

If he were British we'd be calling him Sir Andre Ward by now. I'm also a big Calzaghe fan and it's funny how he's praised by one group of fans and shyt on by another. There's very few people who appreciate both Calzaghe and Ward. I call them "boxing fans".
