This is one of the saddest statements I've read in a long time.
Some young kid coming up wants to prove himself against a veteran fighter who is very far from his prime.

Who the hell advises this kid?

How you're supposed to make a name in US and move up the ratings, you start by beating some known veterans, knocking them the f out the ring

You must have missed Rios v Garcia. Danny might have retired Rios. This is calling out a guy still under a medical suspension, at least wait for the Dr to clear Rios before Eggshell breaks him in half.

"How you're supposed to make a name in US and move up the ratings"..........................................

With a promoter who matches you against other young men looking to prove themselves.
Brandon Rios has taken more than enough punishment at this point.
Why fight a fighter who passed his prime? His prime also means what he can absorb without permanent damage.

No need for miss matches and theres no real money to be made fighting Rios. He would get much less than Rios would get if they were matched so why do that.
Rios is not a contender not even a fringe contender!
