    It's clearly Eddie Hearn's fault

      Definitely wilder

All he had to do was sign for 6 times his highest pay day and he ducked away

I hate talking financials..but why would a man sign off on 15 million on a fight projected to do well over 100 million and possibly over 150 million? That's less than 10 percent, just because something is more than what you usually make doesn't mean you should take it.

I believe wilder was pricing himself out...but I also believe hearn was more than content in the fight not happening right away. I'd say it's both sides fault...if all parties really wanted the fight to happen, it would be signed. the "negotiations" was just posturing from both sides.

You should have made "both" a choice.

I think this is the correct answer. Ultimately Wilder could have just accepted a very generous offer and the fight would have been on so he walked away to take a fight for probably about a third or at best half of what he'd have got vs. Joshua.

                Exactly.

Funny thing is, back in the days when Golden Boy/Canelo didn't seem to fancy the GGG fight much, they offered GGG a straight flat fee. The reason it because they know a flat fee isn't going to be accepted for a big PPV and it let's them save face. Hearn was asked about it at the time regarding GGG v Canelo and the offer and he said it's not the way things are done in boxing for a big PPV, Arum said the same...but then Hearn made a similar offer to Wilder anyway.

when GGG declined, people said he was ducking and ****** to decline a bigger purse than he ever had, like they do with Wilder. obviously he wasn't, he just wanted a fair deal rather than being sold short with a flat fee of a potential big revenue. once he got a fair deal, the fight got made. If Hearn had offered Wilder a fair deal and not a bull**** flat fee, we would have a fight.

Arum's view on these kind of offers....
