Yes but Canelo is a high profile athlete and a target of criticism, some justified and some perhaps not. Like I said, right or wrong, Canelo is in a cant win scenario but he is better off if he wins a fair decision or KO, overall. But in 30 years from now, he will still have the effects of the stigma on his legacy.

I doubt it to be honest

you could be right, but I think that MOST fans think that the positive results were a result of accidental contamination

the few fans who rant on the forum about Clenelo are a tiny minority..... and MOST Golovkin fans (like everyone else) have no idea whatsoever, but prefer to insist that the fat red kid is a blatant drug cheat

I think it depends entirely upon the remainder of Canelo's career

if he never tests positive again, and has a stellar career ending at 168..... it will hardly be mentioned and largely forgotten

look at Pacquiao, it is pretty obvious what was going on there..... yet Manny will still finish his career strongly and be revered as a truly great fighter, despite bigger question marks over a large portion of the last half of his career than Canelo raised over one fight

you could be right, I suppose we will have to wait and see

Pac, just like Marquez never tested positive, they could accuse all they want but unless they could prove it, these two hall of famers are clean and they will always be considered as 2 of the greatest boxers of their generation.

Huge difference. Margarito was in his 30s. Canelo is in his prime. Canelos will be worse when you factor in everything from shady judging to him often fighting smaller guys.

          His career is a farce.

Honestly, I think most objective fans consider Canelo to be a cheat. It's not just a fanatical few. I think everything fades with time, but he will always deal with the reputation of PED cheater.

then him and Pac can sip cups of tea, and discuss this after they retire

Canelo tested positive so you just have to deal with it. Pac and Marquez never tested positive so they are clean. Now I’m not gonna lower myself to your standard by using a bad word, the way you talk reflects your personality.

The only test he refused was Mayweather’s olympic style test, this is not the olympics, this is professional boxing and boxers on PEDs already got busted. “Innocent until proven guilty”, that’s how our court system works, you can’t prove it, then you don’t have a case, it’s as simple as that.
