Comments Thread For: Pedraza: I Would Love To Fight Lomachenko Unification Next!

If all goes well for the challenger on Saturday night, Jose Pedraza (24-1) would be penciled in to fight WBA lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko on December 1st in a lightweight unification clash. He must first defeat the reigning WBO lightweight champion Ray Beltran (35-7-1) whom he faces in an ESPN televised main event in the Phoenix area on August 25th.

Gervonta Davis schooled this man with ease. Lomachenko is sending him back to kindergarten.

Loma will make it a short night.

Pedraza is not on that level yet.

Beltran is much more likely to fight like Salido than Pedraza! That's the only reason I'm cheering for Beltran, is because I think he'll have a better performance vs. Loma than Pedraza! Pedraza might beat Beltran, but after seeing what Tank did to him (Pedraza), I say Loma in 7!

Cant compare they are different fighters, Pedraza fought a dumb fight against Davis, Pedraza is a technical boxer with a high IQ, but idk for some reason he tend to go toe to toe with punchers lol.

Are you suggesting that Pedraza should fight a "technical" fight vs. Lomachenko? I don't think that's a good idea. Lomachenko beat GRJ, and it doesn't get much better than him, when it comes to boxer-punchers. Loma has to be bullied! I think Tank has a better chance of beating Loma than Pedraza or Beltran. Actually, I also think 21-yr. old Teofimo Lopez has a better chance of beating Lomachenko than Pedraza or Beltran!

INSIGHT. Agreed. One cliche the pissed me off after the Rigondeaux fight was this idea that Lomachenko used his extra size to bully him. Nonsense.
No point trying to better him
at what he’s already the best at. Rough him up.

weird how pedraza is the underdog, might be worth a punt considering beltran got a gift in his last fight agaisnt some ancient african street sweeper & is a oap himself..

Loma didn't use his size, he used his head!

Hoping Beltran wins. He would be a bigger challenge to Lomachenko because of his power. Pedraza doesn't have that X factor.
