Is Joel Julio overrated or is Quintana that good?

Just wanted to know your opinion on the fans current opinion of Joel after losing a one-sided fight to an unknown Carlos Quintana. There was alot of hype about Julio and many (including myself) slept on Quintana. Is Joel overrated?

this is a good question. we've seen the julio highlights ... power boxer who uses a stiff jab to set up both power hands with good to decent defense.

but i was thoroughly impressed with quintana - coming off KD in the 1st to cautiously box, then press and then just conquer the fight in dominant fashion. the new breed of southpaw is a lot more exciting now a days if they can fight ala quintana or collazo. i'm high on quintana now, but i'd like to see him in there with either margarito, see if he'd fold under a million punches or see if he could play pernell to margaitos jcc or a fight against paul williams.

i am totally on the julio band-wagon, and even with this loss i'm still high on the kid - quintana just impressed, showed stones in getting up off of the canvas and showed a chin taking joel's shots and then displayed a champions grit in TAKING the fight to joel and beating him at everything.

i'm high on this kid - i wanna see him take on a real, seasoned guy.

I hope he can go forward in his career with a loss so early. We have seen what has happened to Bojado which we haven't seen for a while because of his loss to Leija. Julio is a hard hitter and when he used the jab in the later rounds he was a bit effective and he had a good snap on it. But many guys will try to fight julio the smae way and coninue to give him problems. I think this loss especially at this stage of his career will affect him alot.

I think it's a little of both. I had only seen julio once, and I was ready to watch a superb knockout this weekend. instead, i got to see a boxing master class. I have to say I see big things ahead for quintana, especially since he SHAT all over HBO's newest welterweight. He had julio looking pretty confused, and discouraged. He basically layed out the blue print for other fighters to do the same to julio. I think it be quite awhile before we hear about julio.

i don't have to hope, baby - you keep on mentioning drugs and i'm starting to have thought like "you can go home, get high and come back to work ..." so stop w/ the drug talk.
