First, they had weeks man. I get you’ve never notgiated a fight, and I’m sure when it comes to fighters you think shot is magic because of promoters comments on Twitter. In a world where ***** May tonic ass can lie 4500 times and his dim witted supporters believe it, even when they directly contradict something else he said, one can be forgive for being so quick to believe every promoter they want to believe, they promote.

Second, They didn’t strip him for not fighting Derv on May 5th, that was never realistic. Everyone says they’ll jump in, but money wise that was never gonna be negotiated. Took them a few months to negotiate a fight with his own stable mate. Derv is a good fighter, he deserves a full camp and promotion. Vanes was a poor choice.

GGG was striped from r not fighting Derv after the Vanes fight, but who can blame him. Beating Derv does little in terms of money or prestige. Why not go for the biggest fight in boxing.

If Derv beats Jacobs then ggg v Derv is a much bigger fight.



But that does meet their agenda. Come on, it’s fun watching these guys speak with such authority.

canelo is the one that pays the money not ggg, ggg is the one who wasnt accepting the money offered, canelo had to offer more to get the fight made... he could have said ****ed and said ggg priced out off the fight, but it was too much money to let go... had the fight not happened then ggg would have been labeled ducker by this forum standards...

GEALE, Sturm, Sergio all were dodging him. He couldn’t even get a champ to fight him until Lemiuex. Geale gave up the super. So nobody with half a brain cell didn’t see GGG as the real champ. Which explains why you and the goob you’re responding to are going on about it.

Regardless of why Golovkin wasn't with the super champ, he just wasn't so those regular WBA title defenses don't count. Why do they just count for him and no one else? Do you consider Thurman or Pacquiao the WBA champion right now? Did you consider Golovkin or Jacobs the WBA champion when Jacobs had the regular belt? Lets not move the goalpost here just because it benefits Golovkin.

Sorry, but he has 10 title defenses not 20. Still one hell of a number!

I think the most commonly accepted way of calculating it is from when GGG become the sole WBA titlist in Nov 2012 after Geale was stripped (also incidentally after GGGs 5th defense of the 'World' title at which point the WBAs own rules state he should have been elevated to Super anyway), but take your pick - it's either 10, 15 or 20.

Actually a fair perspective here. But I'm still going with 10. No way do I go with 20, but can see a case for once Geale was stripped. However, this opens up a can of worms with other situations like this one. For everyone else we go with the super champ so why change it for Golovkin?

Yeah this is a patently false statement. Tough stuff for GGG but he isn't carrying all of the titles like BHop.
