Comments Thread For: Ruben Guerrero Leans To Canelo To Beat Golovkin in Rematch

We are just about a month away from the highly anticipated rematch between WBC/WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and former two-division champion Canelo Alvarez. Their first fight took place last September and ended in a controversial split draw.

That’s because Robert is a d*ck riding Canelo nut hugger.....or that’s what people around here say when someone gives their OWN opinion that is different from theirs. Which is kind of ironic because to get so angry and irate when someone gives an opinion that goes against their guy would make them the nut hugger. Don’t ya think?

I feel like most boxers picked Canelo last time as well. Bud was the only guy i remember picking Golovkin. Idk who takes this one. Canelo SHOULD win this time around but then again I felt that way the 1st time and was wrong. I think this fight will look very similar to the 1st but I think G will be less hesitant probably wont take 3 rounds to find his groove again.

Canelo landed the cleaner, more effective power punches last go. Also had the better combinations. GGG once again became a jabbing machine when facing legit competition.

Canelo over GGG-string.. easy. Might not even break as sweat this time around.

GGG can't school Canelo the way Mayweather did it. Just leave no doubt.

De La Hoya: It’s the right time to make Canelo vs. Spence

              August 13, 2018:

In this video interview caught by Fight Hub TV, Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya is asked about his interest in possibly making a fight between Canelo Alvarez and Errol Spence Jr. Check out what he had to say...

“Absolutely. Canelo is always willing and ready to face the very best and I believe Errol Spence can come up a couple weight divisions and challenge a fighter like Canelo and that’ll be a superfight.

“But you have to come and talk to us because we would know how to stage that type of event. We would really make that a super event with Canelo and Spence but obviously first thing is first. Spence has his plans and Canelo has — we have our plans so we’ll see what happens in the future but I’m hoping I get that knock at the door from Spence, that one day he wants to be involved in a major pay-per-view.”

I hope Spence is listening! If he beats Mikey, he should jump at a chance to fight Canelo! Thurman, Garcia, Porter, and Crawford aren't going anywhere! Canelo is the cash cow, especially if he beats GGG! Even if he loses to GGG, Canelo vs. Spence Jr. in Texas = $$$$$

To me this is a 50/50. Emotions will come into play far more than the first fight which could lead to different situations. Most rematches end in similar fashion and rarely does a fighter dramatically change his game plan. I would lean slightly toward Canelo winning. He's younger and may have a greater fire burning in him. That doesnt always translate in the ring, but could.

"In the rematch, puncher has less chance " .

It can be like Kovalev-Ward. I wouldn't be surprised if GGG gets knocked out. We saw that GGG can't knock Canelo out. Slow GGG can't outbox Canelo. So my prediction is: Canelo by UD.
