Because Whyte doesn’t want those kinds of problems in his life, lol

Bad matchup for him, Ortiz wins inside 4

If I was Hearn and want more casual fans in the US. In Nov / Dec when Tyson and Beyonce are busy, UK v US in Las Vegas blockbuster:
      Joshua v Miller
      White v Breazeale
      Chisora v Kownacki
H Fury (might be IBF committed) v Martin
      Dubois v Jennings

      -> 5:0

      plus a couple of others.

US sports fans in general would tune in for this one. Then AJ v Whyte in April (assuming Tyson and Beyonce have rematch commitments / Breazeale mandatory).

It was the fight if Parker said no but Whyte would get no money for it and would have fought two top five fighters in a row which is way more than any other fighter than AJ . Basically Wilder fans want Whyte to fight the entire top ten one after another and they'd still have an excuse for Wilder ducking.

Why is Ortiz not fighting a live body at all ? His last fight could have been against some one good gained him some US fans and make thsi fight more viable.

I would be down the 02 in no time ......obvious rematch ....sell out decent card PPV ...you'd think Hearn would be all over it but for the fact they protect his cash cow!

I don't think Ortiz has to do anymore to make U.S. fans! He had Wilder on skates, so people want the rematch! He was received pretty well in L.A. In the meantime, Wilder is fighting Fury, Charr has a fight, Miller has a fight, AJ has a fight, Pulev has a fight, so I think if Whyte (WBC # 1) wants to make a statement, Ortiz (WBC # 2) is the man! If he wants to wait behind Breazeale (WBC Mandatory), so be it!

This fight won't happen this year.

Both guys want paying PPV money.

Hearn cannot put on AJ/Povetkin, Bellew/Usyk and Chisora/Whyte on PPV in the last 4 months of the year.

Hearn says he has the Principality on hold the first 2 Saturdays in December. I imagine Whyte will be chief support.

Also think Hearn's supposed to provide 6 PPVs a year for Sky

                Bellew/Usyk
                Khan/Brook or Pacquiao

Again no mention of fighting Ortiz. Whyte is definitely scared.

The only meaningful fights (outside of the title fights) for White that will propel him even further in his career are: Ortiz and Big Baby. Although he has done enough already to deserve a title shot and can take an easier fight. Fighting Chisora again does nothing for Whyte, except adding unnecessary risk (puncher's chance) to lose it all.

People who say Whyte should fight Ortiz are idiots. Why would Whyte fight a guy without a belt?? There's nothing in the fight for him. He wins it makes no difference, he loses and he's lost 2 years. Whyte has more than earned a title shot already.

Ortiz is a very good fighter but he needs to wait his turn and work his way back like Whyte had to when he got KO'd
