Comments Thread For: Jessie Vargas: I Can Face Broner in Rematch, Lamont Peterson

Former two division world champion Jessie Vargas (28-2-1, 10 KOs) is hoping to secure some name value opposition in the coming future. Vargas returns to the ring on October 6th, when he faces Thomas Dulorme (24-3, 16 KOs) in a welterweight bout at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Jessie Vargas is not the brightest boxer when it comes to judging a promoters character: Eddie Hearn and Kell Brookz toyed with Jessie Vargas in 2016 when Jessie was WBO welterweight champion. Yes I remember that Jessie signed his side of the contract to face then IBF 147 champion Kelly Brookz in a welterweight unification, suddenly without warning Hearns abandoned Vargas and decided to cash Brook out to Gennady Golovkin.

And here we have this sucker Jessie Vargas expecting a showdown with Adrien Broner that called Hearns offer to join DAZN a 'Slave-contract'!

Bradley Skeete or Josh Kelly it is!

Vargas will get whatever WWs Haymon can’t get on Showtime like Lamont , Rios , Ortiz , Alexander or The guys from Hearns stable Khan , Brook

The top guys ( Spence , Thurman , Garcia , Porter ) will be given priority at Showtime or Fox if that deal gets announced

No-one gives a **** about Jessie Vargas so doesn't really matter who he gets..he needs some stand out performances to garner interest again. Any top operator should be beating AB at this stage of his career especially above 140lbs

I'd take Peterson over Vargas if they fought today.

I actually don't mind Broner II or Peterson to be honest.
