Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter Betting Odds

So looks like Danny Garcia has opened up as the favorite. A bit surprised at that to be honest. Thought it would be a pick-em, or Porter as the slight favorite. You can get pretty solid odds if you expect Porter to win. Betfair and Paddypower have Porter as the 1.5 to 1 underdog.

Porter is going to outwork Garcia for the decision win. Keith Thurman is a better boxer + harder puncher and still barely came with the win.

It seems like it may very well be an ugly fight and pretty tough to score.

It is, and Danny will surely land some clean counters that may win him rounds even when he is being out worked. Brook and Thurman beat Porter, but they are two big WWs that were able to deal with Porter's physicality. Garcia isn't going to clinch as much, but surprisingly he looked just as big, if not bigger at the press conference last week. Still, Porter will be the bigger and stronger man come fight night.

I think there will be stretches in the fight where Porter just jabs Danny from the outside and tries to out box him. He did that in stretches vs Broner.

This is a good fight and one that is pretty even, but just feel like Porter would be the odds on favorite to win. I favor him, but who knows, maybe his style opens him up to the counter left hook that Danny loves to throw.

I usually agree with the odds but not this time. I think Danny Garcia is overrated by many as a welterweight or else I have him underrated.He barely beat Peterson who Spence slaughtered. He cherry picked shot to hell Rios. I think Porter sets too fast a pace and throws too many punches for Garcia and will out work and out land him for a points win. Garcia has never been down and takes a punch very well so I think the fight goes all 12 rounds. If Porter runs right into a huge Garcia punch he could get stopped but I doubt that will happen.
