  • Comments Thread For: Munguia on Hurd: Whenever He Wants To Fight - I am Ready!

WBO super welterweight champion Jaime Munguia (30-0) started off slow a couple weeks ago in Las Vegas in his HBO televised main event against Liam Smith (26-2-1). He eventually found his groove and ended up winning a hard fought unanimous decision against a gritty opponent who never backed down.

Slow down young buck. Hurd hits a lot harder than smith and you don’t have the tightest defense

Neither does Hurd. It would be a great toe to toe fight.

Gotta love this kids attitude but I think he’s going to get hurt.

Great point! Has Munguia chosen an opponent yet? I would love to see Munguia vs. J-Rock or Castano. If not, then J-Rock vs. Castano! If you haven't seen Castano vs. Vitu, or Castano vs. Derevyanchenko, you're missing something special!

I've heard he's fighting Brandon Cook. I don't blame him though, He's not ready for Hurd or Castano just yet and his promoters probably know that. This will be his 5th fight this year btw.

I believe GB are co-promoting Munguia now so those potential fights against Hurd or Charlo are out the door! Oscar will dangle Canelo in front of Munguia for the next two years so no need to get your hopes up about big fights for this guy!
