I heard a story from...

...who use to try to intentially hurt their sparring partners and had no interest in getting any kind of work done, just inflict damage on their sparring partner almost as if they were an opponent, what are some names that pop into your mind?

I heard Mike Tyson use to try to beat people up in sparring. I remember on his movie where he said, "You have 10 seconds to knock me the **** out." and when the guy didn't knock him out he started beating the **** out of him. I don't know if that was real or just something Hollywood. Anywho...any other fighters?

James Toney's former trainer...and those in boxing know who Im talking about...local guy...used to be with Emmanuel down at Kronk...told me that Jame's had sparring partners lined up...and one after the other would leave hurt...he said Toney used to spar 5-10 7 minutes rounds per day...7 minute rounds...holy ****....so yes James Lights Out used to put their Lights Out!

With regards to the sparring footage, you're wrong. Benn was in his bash em up phase and just tears into Duran throwing big hooks. You think Duran's in trouble and he just turns Benn effortlessly and nails him. I think it tells a story of the two of them at that time. Of course, when Benn won his WBO title, there was some talk of him fighting Duran (who held the WBC title at roughly the sametime) or Leonard but this was before Eubank emphatically beat Benn, so I think taking all that into consideration, I think Duran would have knocked out Benn.

Easily Gerald McClellan. I recall a G-Man quote in which he said that he spars in the ring how his pitbulls spar. He always needed to taste blood often so he could be an effective killer. It always sounded kinda crazy to me.
