    Anyone else hyped for September?

I cannot wait for next month. Some fantastic match ups particularly the ggg vs Canelo fight I'm a fan of both fighters though i hope ggg pulls the win off.

Could see an upset in aj vs povetkin. Povetkin has been overlooked i believe.

The conclusion of the 168 wbss tournament too should be great i see groves winning by close points decision.

And finally King Charles martin is back in action against kownacki. The matrix version of Bruce lee is back in the ring cant wait.

Also the Garcia vs Porter fight should be a good scrap with Garcia winning and calling out thurman for a rematch.

I think it'll be hard to ko Canelo guys got an iron chin of late. But definitely some great fights coming up. Cant help but feel the ggg canelo saga is headed towards trilogy territory.

I gotta admit that I thought GGG let Canelo live to fight another round when he didnt go for the kill when he had Nelo up against the ropes and from a business standpoint it makes sense.
I also believe GGG will be all business this time and wont let judges decide this one.

Im in two minds bro i think both were holding back it was the tentative nature of both that gave it away they treated each other with too much respect. Golovkin seemed wary of Canelo on the ropes. And wasn't throwing to the body.

If there wasn't a fix in place then ggg had a tough time figuring out how to attack Canelo efficiently. and hopefully as you said he might throw caution to the wind this time fight with more urgency.

Id like to see golovkin utilise throw away punches and more feints to land sneaky hard shots as he did with martirosyan although Canelos a completely different level to vanes.

Yer im probably wrong with that assessment i just can't understand why GGG showed so much respect to Saul.
He had him on the ropes were he wanted him and didnt go to the body or make him uncomfortable.
              I just dont get it.
That's the Gs bread and butter having someone on the ropes.
Just hope it will be different this time.
              Im expecting it will be.

You could be right though. Oscar was talking trilogy before the first fight even happened.

Now I've tried to work out why golovkin was hesitating and i believe i found an answer.

You see canelo isnt the heaviest handed boxer g has faced lemiuex is. But the big difference is lemiuex couldn't land on golovkin. Canelo can and did whether the power or accuracy of Canelo made g hesitate i dont know.

I'll say that canelo is a hurtful puncher when able to land clean and speed of his attack makes most opponents shell up or move away. Golovkin did neither but he did hesitate when in front of Canelo on multiple occasions. Namely on the ropes.

If you noticed canelo had his back turned at a slight angle on the ropes so he wasnt stuck there i feel he was baiting g to come in so he could burst out the corner/ropes pivot on his front foot and counter g on the way out.

Golovkin didn't take the bait but on the same token was reduced to jabbing and ineffectual attack often letting Canelo get off the ropes.

This time round as i said earlier maybe some more feinting and throw away punches could ensure landing successfully more often against the ropes or center Ring

I’m super hyped for Garcia porter as I’ve got tickets and it will be my first live fight in America.

We’ve also got ggg vs Canelo 2 and aj vs Povetkin to look forward to. I can’t wait.

Yes I am hyped for September and the GGG vs Canelo fight is by far the biggest reason for me.
