Or Ward fought 3 times in 3 yrs, lost all of his momentum he had after Super Six, and when he came back he was fighting at 172, so he brought no value and couldn’t make 168 anymore. But it’s a good story that he convinced his 3 fans that GGG ducked him. Why would GGG fight Ward instead of Canelo/Cotto winner? Floyd moved up to fight Canelo, not Lara. Same exact situation.

These two will have a scrap this time around. VADA is up Canelo’s arse after the whole “meat” thing, which everybody and their cousin knew what was going on there whether they’d admit it or not. So I think Canelo will come out firing this time and risk going out on his shield. Mexican fighters and especially Mexican fans are a respect driven culture. He wants that respect back fully. Whether he can win this time, especially without the gear, will be another story.

Maybe you should be critical of GGG for following Canelo around all night instead of smartly cutting off the ring. And maybe you should praise Canelo for improving his boxing skills with each fight. These past dozen or so fights we have seen Canelo's boxing vocabulary increase quite a bit. Very impressive stuff really. Of course though, the Canelo haters will call that 'running'. I'm sure Abel is aware of that, assuming he's been watching tapes and keeping track. And he hates that. He wants Canelo to come at GGG for a war. Which is never bright.

Now I know HBO always praises GGG for his boxing ability, but in his past 2 fights (not counting Vanes) he's definitely dropped a notch or two. His speed and boxing ability it seems have been the first to suffer. We'll see how this rematch goes... but I don't expect the older guy to magically start doing it right again.
