Comments Thread For: Korobov: Uzcategui Scared to Fight Me; Charlo Won't Either!

Matt Korobov thought Jose Uzcategui would want a rematch of the only loss Uzcategui hasn't avenged. Uzcategui seeks an opponent for his first defense of the IBF super middleweight title. Korobov considers himself perfect for that assignment, especially considering their history, but Korobov told BoxingScene.com he has been informed Uzcategui wants to fight someone else next.

I don’t even know who he is but I like his attitude if what he says is true

To be fair, people seem to ignore that Korobov whooped Uzcategui when they fought.

I think he deserves 1 more shot. 160 or 168. Someone has to fight him...
Yeah, Andy Lee's ability to make a fight go to the championship rounds is Korobov's weakness and that's why he was able to beat him.

I don't know why, but Korobov is ranked #13 by the IBF @ 168, and not ranked in the Top 15 by any other organization. He is not ranked in the Top 15 by anybody @ 160. Maybe that's why he can't get title fights?

If you have no lobby, no contacts, no powerful promoter and a loss on your record that means your career can basically be ruined.

Uzcategui would probably lose again. Don't blame him 4 not fighting. Bu you'd think Uzi would want that revenge now that Korobov older.

I'll take his word for it, being that he's already fought Uzcategui. Charlo, however, will clean his clock. I wouldn't mind seeing it though.

He fought once in the last two years. Relevance matters when it comes to big fights.
