It's crazy how long we've heard about his stamina issues and that "all he has to do is work on his stamina and he'll be fine," and yet we keep hearing that after every fight. Sooner or later you'd think people would realize stamina is something he isn't going to have, at least not traditional stamina that a lot of Mexican boxers have. Then again, he's not built like a traditional Mexican fighter.

Exactly, and really when u think about it generally no short stocky fighters with a build similar to Canelo has good stamina because they are dragging around all that extra weight on that short frame. That's why imo it's a matter of Canelo being lazy because in my eyes he's still a 154 fighter too lazy to dedicate himself to making the weight he should be at.

Canelo will always have trouble with Elite 160 fighters because of the frame of these guys 5'11 and 6'0 is too much for Canelo's body to be able to withstand fight after fight, he could have the best stamina of his life but thats not going to make you 2 inches taller with a 74"reach...

Pretty much. He fights like he trains, which isn't a knock on him because he does train hard. But we've seen it in multiple training videos over the years of him doing a flashy combo and then just kind of walking around after. That's not to say that he always does that but it's obviously a habit.

Although he is the more skillful fighter compared to GGG. It's the size and stamina he lacks but I assume If he can stay on his feet my they will give him the fight or another draw to a trilogy but either way unless he plans on fighting tomato cans at 160 for the rest of his career I just don't anywhere for Canelo to go at 160. Saunders, Jacobs, and Charlo make GGG look small and the current guys on top at 154 are the same size or bigger than Canelo.

If I was Canelo I'd fancy more a showdown with Spence, Brook, Muguia or Hurd at 154 these are good match ups for him that will extend his career vs getting brutalized at 160 and realizing he needs to move back down anyway or get ready to retire at 30 31.

I mean the fact is Canelo is 5'8 on a good day does anybody really expect him to be able to run though these big guys 160?

Yeah he seems to be in a tough situation. It becomes even worse if GGG actually improves from the 2nd fight and beats him convincingly. Granted Golovkin fights differently than the other 3, but like you said, they are noticeably bigger than Gennady. September will let us know what Canelo should do next.

                neither blind or delusional.

Please do explain why GGG did NOT wanted to engage Canelo when he was on the ropes hands down?

please be the FIRST GGG fan to not cower away from an actual discussion.

Yea If a so called "old over the hill" GGG can beat Canelo in Sept. he really has no where to go but back to 154 or have a 3-match. Something tell's me he'll choose the latter for pride & monetary reasons but we'll see in Sept.

I don't know if Canelo has unworldly power that made GGG hesitant to throw, but he just didn't unload like he's used to doing. I'm not comparing Canelo to Vanes because they're clearly different level fighters, but I can see Golovkin adjusting and going to the body more this time around. Plus, with an iron chin like hisI'm sure he'll be willing to risk more in such a big fight that his legacy at stake.
nerves, the biggest stage of his carreer & bright lights, the pressure to perform well, & not knowing what to expect is what got to him. & Canelos unexpected movement took him by suprise. I'd bet my life savings GGG, Abel nor anyone else outside of team Canelo knew he could move like that because 1: he never fought like that in any other fight of his career & 2 there was always pretty much a general belief that he had cement feet.
