Just because someone loses, it does not mean that he didn't have a great resume. In respect to the top boxers, it often means that he fought the best.


Ali lost to Frazier & Norton but also beat them and beat other guys that people thought he would lose too. A few losses is acceptable and much more appreciated than if he took the easy way out during his whole career.

Lennox Lewis beat everyone he faced. Had a couple of losses but faced pretty much everyone he should have.

Manny Pacquiao, lost to Morales but then came back and smoked him twice. Still, Manny had an awesome run. A loss does not mean that he didn't have a good run!
