I think Floyd was a better fighter and had a better career but a washed up Oscar did beat him. That version of Oscar shouldn’t have even been competitive. 1 fight in 3 years coming in yet still won but got robbed.
Floyd wins a round razor close..."it was a schooling doe, it was exactly what he wanted."
There were enough close rounds that 4 can turn into 6 pretty easy if it's left up to the judges. Seems to me that a guy who's having such an easy time would make things a bit more emphatic and win the rounds wide.
De la Hoya was barely 34 when he fought Mayweather and it was at 154 after Floyd wasn’t even comfortable at 147 yet. Oscar was great then still, but not good enough.
People have opinions. Mayweather would have schooled all but a few versions of any boxers near his weight in history. Both sugar rays are toss up fights for him and he schools everyone else.

After going into retirement and one fight in 3 years.
Let's not forget he was coked up and dressing up in women's lingerie at this time too.
Pacquiao showed the level Oscar was at in his fight a year later.
It's about prime Oscar facing prime Floyd.
It's about prime Mosley facing prime Floyd.
Those versions Floyd never saw.
If he would,
Floyd would be man-handled, most probably, by Shane.
Oscar would have beat Floyd.
When Floyd was at 130 and Mosely was at 135, Floyd wanted no part of that version of Mosley. Once Mosley knew that, he just moved up to fight Oscar. How did he know that? Floyd told him that!!!
.
If you were right then they wouldn't of ducked Floyd at Floyd's prime.
