and Floyd would be the 1st to tell you his body was done after the Gatti fight. 1 thing he has always been consistent on. In fact during the whole series of the show 24-7 leading up to the Oscar fight Floyd was doing more rehabilitation on his hands and body than Oscar was...Age always means something in boxing but more importantly is genetics thats the reason some fighters can last longer. or PEDS.

Or facts depending on who you're rooting for.

I guess you could say him beating Trinidad is an opinion because officially he got screwed out of the decision after boxing his ears off basically shutting him out the first half of the fight then cruising along thinking he had an easy decision win.

You don't know how to score a fight like Max says till they told him to keep quiet from then on....

I'm glad you brought that up call it Karma because he def didn't beat a past prime Pernell Whitaker but got gifted the decision over the old dog anyways...

i don't think so. floyd's just too fast for oscar to win enough rounds. he hits hard enough to keep him honest, oscar would be resetting and on the move too often to land really hard.

but people forget how good oscar was in his prime and before his hand injuries. that guy could hit like a mule and had an absolutely iron jaw. floyd would be in for a long night and it would be a fight.

LOL oh ok, but my thing is if he couldn't beat a 33 yr old Pernell in his prime he def couldn't have beat Floyd either because remember when Floyd said he sparred Whitaker right around those years and he pretty much said it was easy work and he could beat Whitaker bad in sparring if he wanted but that was 1 of his idols.

Honestly just a theory but I think when Oscar would hear Floyd name he realized the difficulty he had with Whitaker and didn't even want to entertain the thought of a fight with Floyd until the money was right due to the difficult style.

Let's not forget who Oscar trainer was for a few years. Floyd Mayweather Snr

You people disregard weight all the time, Manny beat a drained Oscar that was 20 pounds lighter than the one Floyd beat but you cant see it lol all you see is whats in front of your face, be like a racehorse with his legs tied together you couldn't see the rope all you see is him running last.
Im a Floyd Mayweather Fan.. & if your talking about weight ok Canelo was a big guy in the ring also and look what floyd did to him inside the ring he took a worse beating than what Oscar took.
