What are you guys thoughts on this weekends events in boxing?
Kovalev got koed, Farmer is world champ, Berto got a debatable W, Bivol dominated.

Thought Alexander won. How did Berto get 8 rounds rewarded to him is beyond me.
Quillin is pretty trash, but Love is soggy trash.
Bivol dominated a tricky opponent but I question if he has a inside game and if he can counter off the back foot. Still, a lot to like with this guy.
Alvarez landed a very nice shot to put down Kovalev. But from round 1 it seemed like Kovalev's reaction time was a bit slow and his punch resistance wasn't all that good. Jabs had that mans head popping back like crazy.
Cordina has some skills but not sure if he will ever be a world champion. Will keep following his progress.
Not a bad weekend of boxing and combat sports in general. A big upset in the UFC and Dillashaw left no doubt getting another stoppage win over Garbrandt.Comment

Berto/Alexander was very close, I had Alexander with a razor thin decision. Devon tired badly down the stretch, and I give Berto credit for not getting discouraged after a rough start.
Saw about the last 5 rounds of the Bivol fight. The man has skills, he was in there with a durable guy in Chilemba, but I was expecting more.
I felt Kovalev was vulnerable, as I've really been impressed with Alvarez when I've seen him, and as others have noted, Kovalev has not been the same since the Ward fights. Specifically, I felt Kovalev did not look that good in his previous fight with Mikhalkin. He was getting tagged with a lot of shots, but fortunately for him, vs. a guy with not much power.
I felt Alvarez could win, but didn't expect such a devastating KO.Comment

I was surprised Kovalev got KOed. I thought he fought well up to when Alvarez caught him with a great punch and then did a great job of finishing him off. I was disappointed Bivol didn't get the KO but I thought he won every round over a good solid contender. I think Bivol is the best at 175 and will beat Alvarez. He can box and punch and I have yet to see him lose a single round. I didn't see the other fights but I was surprised Berto won. A rematch with Alvarez will tell me if Kovalev is finished at the top level. I think 175 has very good boxers and Ward would not be the best if he came back. Light heavyweight is stronger now than when Ward was fighting.Comment

I am glad Dillashaw won again. He had to listen to all that undeserved verbal abuse Garbrandt constantly gave him.Thought Alexander won. How did Berto get 8 rounds rewarded to him is beyond me.
