Uniondale, New York - Former world champion Luis Collazo (38-7, 20 KOs) earned a majority decision victory over Bryant Perrella (15-2, 13 KOs) in their 10-round welterweight showdown. Perrella entered the ring with the reach and height advantage, but the veteran Collazo quickly strategized to walk through Perrella's jab to deliver power punches. Collazo started to inflict damage beginning in rounds three and four when he had Perella stunned several times against the ropes.

Collazo comes to fight man. If Danny can beat Porter, Danny vs Collazo is inevitable at the BarclaysComment

Neither Collazo, nor Berto, should be getting any title fights anytime soon! Collazo and Berto would be good opponents for guys like Yordenis Ugas, Jessie Vargas, Jamal James, Jose Benavidez, and Egidijus Kavaliauskas! Now if they beat one of those guys, then they will have earned a title shot, but they shouldn't get a shot without going through one of these guys!Comment

I met Collazos dad when I had to do some work for him. He was beaming with pride as he showed me videos of his sons fights, especially the one with Ricky Hatton......nothing like a proud dad showing off his sons accomplishments!
Collazo is a crafty slick fighter, but he seems to be doing his craft part time, so whatever slickness he possesses can turn out to be telegraphic - which means those 'skilz' wont help like it should..... Imo, he can give a lot of these welters serious awkward trouble if he stays 100 during this very last run.....which would mean that cool dad of his should get a second run at gushing over what he's instilled in his boy
