Kovalev did have a rematch clause. Although I'm not sure how fast he will be to exercise it and get right back in there with this guy.

They need to try to lock up Bivol to a deal, but they certainly aren't big factors right now. Actually complete non-factors. Just to show how bad of a shape the company was, Vaughn Alexander was one of their top guys. Yes, the same Alexander that spent like 11 or 12 years in jail. Main Events hasn't been the same since Dan passed away. They had a squad full of great fighters at one point, then it was basically the Gatti show doe a while. Luckily they signed Kovalev so that helped keep them relevant for a short period of time. Like if you are a young prospect, why would you want to sign with Main Events? They don't have all that many dates and don't have the type of money other companies have.

Define ok? It is clear right now HBO isn't a big player in boxing anymore and the only other dates Main Events has is on that facebook stream they will be doing along with GBP. But really who the hell knows how that will play out. With the war chest of money DAZN has, the TR on ESPN deal and PBC with SHO/FOX, it just doesn't make all that much sense for fighters to sign with Main Events. I mean lets be real, they only got Kovalev because he was a relative unknown and passed over by other bigger promotional companies.

Did they sign anyone of note from the 2016 Olympic class?
