Ward hit Kovalev with a right hand flush on the chin, Alvarez's was more of a temple shot.

          A little different .
That one is a little more over the top of the left .

          Ward was straight https://********/BZbLlEgV0CY?t=66

Alvarez's was harder as you can see. It bounced Kovalev.

Kovalev foolishly switched to southpaw for a few seconds and then switched back and threw a jab which Ward countered over with his right hand. So a bit different, but both right hands ended Kovalev. He had pretty much the same reaction where he stumbled back, only difference today was he actually went down.

His reaction time to the shots Alvarez was throwing today was bad though. Definitely declined from two years ago. The aura is gone and he is probably doing everything on his own in camp. Stubborn man and it has come back to haunt him...That along with his age and supposed drinking problem.

No wards was straighter iircc. This was more of a looping punch. He was trying to time it earlier in the round too so it wasn’t no lucky punch

                    there were a few differences

ward knocked kovalev down 0 times
alvarez knocked kovalev down 3 times

kovalev recovered his legs and was moving around after ward hurt him
kovalev had no legs and just stood there against alvarez

kovalev was able to defend and slip most of wards shots after about 15 seconds of ward hitting him but being unable to close the show
kovalev just stood there with his gloves up unable to do anything against alvarez

kovalev was nearly unconscious against alvarez
                    kovalev's balls exploded against ward

but on paper its all the same!
