All fan boy bullshit aside, I hope the LHWs will fight each other now. Watch Adonis start calling Kovalev out now.

How can he be hurt by normal body shots and get gassed out in the middle rounds ?
He never learned from showing up soft against Ward II.
yeah and kovalev never had a what you'd call an iron chin!

Another fun fact: Trainer Marc Ramsay now trains 2 LHW Champions in Beterbiev and Alvarez...

Lord, he was gassing out early . Did not press when he had Alvarez hurt b/c he was gassing out already.
Got lazy and had his hands down so often .
I agree. Kov was doing well but you could see he was susceptible to something big landing. He didn't look comfortable in there (although credit to Alvarez had a lot to do with that). I think the robbery in the first Ward fight did change him sadly. He worked his whole life to get that big fight, won, and then they robbed him and some people tried to act like it was legit.

I don't see how he will continue honestly. Who knows what his future is

Kellerman was off tonight! First off, Alvarez has shown power like that when he knocked Bute out with one punch. Also, Kellerman said that Bivol beat unbeaten Sullivan which is not true, Ward beat unbeaten Sullivan.

4-2 isn't a bad score, but 5-1 was crazy and they were giving Alvarez no credit at all. This wasn't a one punch ko really. he had stunned kovalev early and he was getting tired. It was perfectly timed and well planned

Bivol has power true but he doesn't have dimensions. If you are going to be good at boxing, you need to have dimensions, angles, gears. Alvarez appears to have some of that, but I wonder how much of that is Kovalev fading in his career/losing love for the sport.

He deserves credit for the win, he really needed that KO to win imo and he got it. I'm just wondering if this wasn't a degraded version of Kovalev for various reasons.

Mate, you get far too excited. Bivol is not as reckless as Kovalev and has a far better defence.
