I think the point is now everyone knows (top fighters) go to the body consistently and Kov will quit or wait 6 and he’ll gas, if he has any hope to reinvent himself he has to start with getting a proper trainer and not a yes man puppet.
He hadn't gassed yet. He just got caught. Maybe his chin can't hold up anymore but he's definitely not shot. He was winning that fight and quite in control in my opinion.

Ward was absolutely hyped up within the boxing community.

Ward was hyped up in the sense that he was afforded advantages that a non US black fighter wouldn't have been afforded.

He was allowed to fight all of his fights at home, boxing his way to dirty/close decisions, and never really taking on a real test. As long as he could go 12 rounds he was basically assured of getting the W. That's why he was hyped up.

They wanted him to keep his 0 so he could turn into the next Mayweather but it never happened.

When your arms are always down and you're flailing with your right lead, you're kinda gassed .

You really need to get in the ring and spar some and really find out that your legs get tired really fast if you are out of shape .

Kova's stamina is not there. Dude should have poured it on in the 4th round .

                • "Dumbest most hated post" ?? Keep reading you'll find dumber posts. All the great fighters sat at negotiation tables & used their leverage, but they still fought the best at their best. Ali didn't wait for Frazier to get ko'd twice by Foreman before facing him, nor did Leonard with Hearns, Andre did the same with Kovalev. Little Mikey Garcia is calling out Spense who's 2 divisions higher. These are the truly great & dare to be great fighters. I know I don't have to watch the fighters I don't care for or click on their articles or be here on this site discussing them, all I want are the quality match-ups on PPV where you truly feel your going to watch something special. I've been a fan of this site for yrs but always hesitated in posting to avoid aggresive trolls so if anyone is interested in a civil mature boxing discussion I'm all ears, if not I'm all deaf ears.

                  • Great fight by Alvarez. Kovalev's chin is done. Both guys who dropped him aren't known as huge punchers.
