Comments Thread For: Garcia: I've got the speed, intelligence, experience to beat Spence

WBC, IBF lightweight world champion Mikey Garcia (39-0, 30 KOs) is already gearing up and focused on a potential showdown with IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence at year's end. Garcia - who captured world titles at 126, 130, 135 and 140 - is eager to win a fifth divisional title - against Spence (24-0, 21 KOs).

He absolutely needs a rehydration clause.

Garcia only got a puncher's chance. If Spence gets careless when he's coming forward Garcia could counter and catch Spence with one of his vicious left hook. If Spence doesn't see the left hook coming, it could be good night, but that's Garcia's only shot.

My prediciton: Spence would be the first one to stop Garcia.

Don't even take the fight if you need to handicap the opponent.

Mikey does have the ability hand speed and intelligence but the power and strength is all Spence, if Mikey can move and not be on the end of Errols accumulating power he has a chance but I cant see it.

Huge kudos for Mikey not demanding some BS CW which would defeat the purpose of taking the fight in the first place , with a CW that drains a guy anybody can be beaten, I love that Mikey is not going that way.

IBF has a rehydration rule where you can't be over 10 lbs the weigh in limit morning of the fight and Spence is the IBF champion so im sure he wouldnt rehydrate too much

Spence has got this one, but don't rule Garcia out. He is one awkward guy, he could out-time him.

I applaud Mikey for his courage and heart, I just wish the other guys at '47 would call out Spence. Maybe if Mikey puts up some resistance against Spence it will instill some confidence in other '47 pounders to call Spence out instead of this ducking BS lol Like Shawn Porter ain't he doesn't think he's even ranked in the IBF anymore (which was true but still that's a punk move) lol cong**** Mikey if this happens

People also ignore that Spence had a fight day weight of 156 - 157 in his last three fights.
