I have to say, the Brit fans as great as they are, they make me laugh somtimes.. I remember when spence fought brook... at the presser, the brits were all up in arms basically celebrating that kell did good against ggg and laid out the blueprint to beat ggg lol. It was one of the most celebrated LOSSES i have ever saw

The reason i bring this up is because during that same presser, ingle was bringing up past opponents and basically giving kell the win over spence because brook had porter on his resume and at that time spence biggest name was algieri.

We all saw how that fight turned out. Spence by ko.

Its funny how history repeats itself. Wilder over joshua by ko.

skew numbers how you like.. joshuas calibre of opponents have been better end of.

Ortiz was a good win for wilder, but he was getting thoroughly outmatched in every aspect until the KO. Other than that.. you can try until the cows come home to convince me that washington and spzilka come close to Klitschko and Parker in terms of resume.

So lets stop acting like one is so far ahead of the other..NUMBERS DO NOT LIE!!!
I really don't understand why using the combined records is a good way to measure the strength of the opposition they've faced. A much better way to do it is how many top 10 heavyweights have they beaten? If you look at The Ring annual ratings Joshua has beaten 3 fighters that have at some point been rated in the top 10 (Breazeale, Klitschko, Parker) Wilder has also beaten 3 (Stiverne, Ortiz, Arreola). So 3 of Joshua's out 5 of his defenses were against top 10 opposition (was scheduled to be 4 with Pulev). 3 out of Wilder's 7 defenses were against top 10 opposition.

dont add the scheduled one for Joshua and leave the one out for Wilder with Povetkin

Arreola and stiverne? even a 40 yr old klitschko is 100 levels above those guys...this is where numbers don't tell the story. former champions doe.

Selling out a 90k seat stadium vs not selling out a 15k seat arena. Yeah, you're right, numbers don't lie.

It's hard to dispute the numbers you put up. I guess the overall quality of their title fights is closer than I thought. The past is past. Both champions are defending their titles against top contenders now so they are both being good champions in my opinion. Why they aren't fighting each other depends on who you ask. Most UK fans blame Wilder while most stateside fans blame AJ. It really doesn't matter who's fault it is because we still have two good champions and neither can say they are truly the best until they fight each other. Hell, most weight classes have 4 champions so two champions is not so bad.

                    Joshua's resume is definitely better.

U can cry about povetkin failing the test all u want but he wasnt the only fighter around, wilder showed ZERO interest in ever fighting wlad cause by a few accounts hed been pasted in sparring by him. He waited till he was out of the picture before mouthing off.
Brits always bring up Wilder's record and number of fights but yet consider Brook some elite talent but he was a pro for over 10 years before he actually fought a decent opponent. Brook is 1-2 against top fighters and undefeated against all those Euro bums.
